Kazakhstan reports decrease in production of oil

The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 70 million tons from January through October 2021, which is 2 percent less than during the same months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 2.9 percent compared to the reporting period of 2020.

Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 101 million tons, which is 13 percent more compared to the reporting months of 2020. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 3.9 million tons (increase by 6.3 percent).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 11.2 million tons, which is 17.3 percent more than during the same period of 2020. Manufacturing of flat metal was 2.4 million tons (increase by 13.2 percent), of diesel fuel to 4.2 million tons (up by 7.7 percent), of electricity to 93.9 billion kWh (increase by 7.7 percent).

The production of food, beverages, rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products, chemical and pharmaceutical products, light industry and mechanical engineering increased over the reporting period of 2021 compared to 2020. The production of coal, crude oil and natural gas has in turn declined.
