BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. Iran's tax revenues in the first five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) have increased by 44 percent compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through August 22, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Tax Organization said, Trend reports.
Tax revenues in Iran amounted to 4.06 quadrillion rials (about $9.53 billion) during the five months.
About 80 percent of tax revenues in the budget planned for five months have been realized.
Direct taxes amounted to 2.85 quadrillion rials (about $6.69 billion) of tax revenues for the five months. Direct tax revenues increased 58 percent compared to the same period last year.
Taxes on services and products amounted to 1.21 quadrillion rials (about $2.84 billion). Tax revenues related to services and products increased by 20 percent compared to the same period last year.
Furthermore, it is noted that Iran's tax revenues are based on transparent, accurate data.
To note, Iran's tax revenues in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) amounted to 8.06 quadrillion rials (about $192 billion). Last year, Iran's tax revenues increased by 70.6 percent compared to the previous year (from March 21 2022 through March 20, 2023).
