"This memorandum will be the starting point to implement the project 'Improvement of access to drinking water and water supply services in the villages of Mangistaus province', Serikov stated.
The key target of the project is to explore and demonstrate more optimal and reliable approaches and provide access to quality drinking water in the Kizil-Tobe village of Mangistaus province.
"The project is expected to be implemented from 2008 to 2009," UN representative stated.
Shell will allocate $300,000 and Mangistaus province will allocate $250,000. "The UN Development Program will coordinate the project and head the consultancy on the use of water and the sources of drinking water," Serikov added.,
