BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 29. In conjunction with the restoration initiatives for the COP29 event, renovation has been conducted on 193 historic architectural monuments in Baku, Azerbaijan, with ongoing oversight implemented to maintain their historical significance, authenticity, stability, and artistic-aesthetic integrity, Trend reports.

Press secretary for the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fariz Huseynli noted that the restoration works are being conducted in cooperation with contracting companies and under the supervision of specialists.

“Additionally, advertising and utility structures that detract from the artistic-aesthetic appearance of the monuments have been removed from the facades of the buildings.

Ongoing efforts in this area are being closely monitored to ensure that renovation and landscaping activities do not compromise the architectural style and artistic-aesthetic integrity of the historical monuments,” Huseynli added.
