Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss coordination of frequencies of terrestrial communication services

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have engaged in talks regarding the coordination of frequencies of terrestrial communication services between the two countries, Trend reports.

According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the discussions took place during a meeting with representatives from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry.

The meeting focused on ensuring the smooth operation of FM radio stations in Baku and northern Azerbaijan and discussed steps to coordinate frequencies to prevent interference.

Additionally, the transition to Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB+) in Baku and northern regions was addressed, with Kazakhstan showing interest in exchanging experiences related to digital broadcasting.

Considerable attention was also given to next-generation mobile communication. During the meeting, technical agreements were reached for the implementation of services in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz frequency bands.
