BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 7. Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $767 million in January 2023, which is an increase of 1.9 times, compared to $384 million in January 2022, Trend reports via the States Customs Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statistics, Kyrgyz imports totaled $524 million in January 2023, decreasing by 1.5 times over $346 million in January 2022.
The value of Kyrgyz exports totaled $243 million in the first month of 2023, which is an increase of 6.3 times over $38 million in January 2022.
Meanwhile, the volume of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover reached 315,900 tons in the first month of 2023, which is an increase by 1.1 times, compared to 267,400 tons in January 2022.
In the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan registered increase in the volume of imports and exports, both.
The volume of Kyrgyz imports amounted to 149,400 tons in January 2023. In comparison, the imports amounted to 127,600 tons in the same period of 2022
The volume of Kyrgyzstan’s exports made up 166,500 tons in January 2023, increasing from 139,800 tons in January 2022.
Meanwhile, the value of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $11.8 last year, increasing by 41 percent over the same period of 2021 ($8.3 billion).
Kyrgyzstan's exports reached $2.1 billion in 2022, facing a decrease of 21 percent compared to 2021 ($2.7 billion). The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $9.6 billion last year, which is an increase of 72 percent compared to 2021 ($5.5 billion).
