BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov during which they discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, which is a priority area of bilateral partnership. In this context, they agreed on the need to maintain the positive dynamics of trade turnover and the optimal practical implementation of the agreements reached during mutual visits and negotiations at the highest level.
Furthermore, the parties noted that both countries have similar positions on topical issues of the regional and global agenda, which primarily concerns ensuring universal peace and security and achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
At the same time, they stressed the importance of developing new promising areas of cooperation and also added that Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have a solid potential for further increasing the volume of mutual trade, investment and the implementation of joint projects in industries such as industry, transport, energy, agriculture.
