BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 1. There are over 100,000 cattle in the Charjew district, located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, at the moment the district contains over 100,000 heads of cattle, 189,100 heads of small cattle, and 624,700 poultry.
In general, 2,100 tons of meat, 5,750 tons of milk, and 4.1 million eggs were produced in the Charjew district in January of this year.
Most of these indicators were achieved by private producers.
At the moment, Turkmenistan is doing a lot of work on the development of animal husbandry, increasing the number of livestock, manufacturing meat and dairy products, and strengthening the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
