BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29. Turkmenistan imported 5.66 million euros worth of mineral products from the EU countries from January through April this year, the source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
These figures for the reporting period are 75.2 percent more than in the first four months of last year (3.23 million euros).
According to Eurostat, Turkmenistan imported mineral products from EU countries in April 2023 in the amount of 1.37 million euros, which is almost 11.3 percent, or 140,000 euros more than in March 2023 (1.23 million euros).
In general, Turkmenistan reduced imports from EU countries by 5.5 percent in the first four months of this year compared to January through April 2022 (187.4 million euros) to 177.04 million euros.
The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the EU countries reached 1 billion euros last year, which is 25.9 percent less than in 2021, when it amounted to 1.35 billion euros.
