ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 28. Livestock farmers of the Lebap region (located in the east of Turkmenistan) have a livestock of 2.48 million small cattle, Trend reports.
At the moment, the farms of the Lebap region also contain about 527,900 cattle, more than 3.91 million farm birds and 5,600 camels.
Due to proper care for them, good performance is achieved in the production of agricultural food products.
Furthermore, at the moment, livestock farms in the region are making significant efforts to provide care for farm animals in winter.
In order to ensure the care of farm animals in winter, more than 6,200 tons of silage and 8,200 tons of fodder grass were harvested at all livestock farms on favorable weather days, which were delivered to the wintering grounds of livestock.
Furthermore, at the moment a lot of work is being done in Turkmenistan to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacture meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
Most of the livestock production is accounted for by the private sector of Turkmenistan.
