Uzbekistan buys over 400 Japanese buses, eyes to open 86 new routes

Uzbekistan plans to bring the number of purchased buses to 537 by the end of 2017, according to the press service of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport.

As of Oct. 20, 440 Isuzu buses have been purchased and are operational.

In addition, two Yutong buses were bought for the Navoi and Fergana regions.

In order to meet the needs of the people in the bus services, it is planned to open 86 new bus routes throughout the country in 2017.

It was planned to build seven new bus stations and reconstruct six existing ones in 2017. As of today, four bus stations have already been put into operation.
