BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. The export of non-oil products from Isfahan province, located in the center of Iran, decreased by 35 percent in value and 16 percent in weight terms during five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through August 22, 2023), director general of Iran's Isfahan Province Customs Administration Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports.
According to him, about 762,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $491 million were exported from Isfahan province during five months.
Kuhestani pointed out that 460 types of products were exported from the province during the mentioned period. Mainly exported were petrochemical products worth $134 million, steel and iron products worth $118 million, milk and dairy products worth $56 million, carpets worth $33 million, and copper and copper products worth $30 million.
The official stated that 63,000 tons of products worth $281 million were imported to the province during the five months. Imports of products increased by 4 percent in value and 12 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
Iran exported 60.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $21.9 billion during five months. Over the five months, exports of non-oil products increased by 10 percent in value and 7 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
To note, Iran imported 15.7 million tons of non-oil products worth $26.3 billion during the five months. In the five months, Iran's imports of non-oil products increased by 5.53 percent in value and 7.93 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
