By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Russia's United Shipbuilding Association (OCK) has offered a wide range of proposals to boost cooperation with Iran in the maritime industry.
The proposals vary from port infrastructures to shipbuilding, Iran's IRNA news agency reported Sept. 28.
An Iranian delegation met with officials of the Russian OCK in Moscow, discussing ways to participate in Iran's maritime projects.
During the meeting, it was decided that a delegation from the Russian side to travel to Tehran by the next two weeks for evaluating agreements between the two countries reached on the sidelines of the marine and navigation industries exhibition in Russia.
On the sidelines of the International Maritime Exhibition and Conferences of Russia (NEVA 2015), a meeting was held between Mohammad Saeed Seif, secretary of the Iranian headquarters for the development of maritime technology and knowledge-based industries and Alexey Rahmanov, head of the OCK.
During the meeting, Seif outlined Iran's plans and projects for the development of maritime industry and methods for cooperation between the two countries, especially in shipbuilding, onshore and offshore industries, oil platforms, as well as research and development projects.
