Bahrain on Tuesday deported another six American activists who applied for tourist visas under false pretenses and participated in illegal demonstrations, Xinhua reported.

The six Americans, Kate Raphael Bender, Kristin Razowsky, Patricia Wieland, Michael Anthony Lopercio, Brian David Terrell and Linda Sartor, arrived in Bahrain over the past week and obtained tourist visas upon arrival at the airport. They were later found participating in illegal demonstrations, the Bahraini Information Affairs Authority (IAA) said in a statement.

They were taken to Hoora Police Station for questioning and agreed to leave the country without further legal procedures.

On Saturday, two U.S. nationals, Huwaida Arraf and Radhika Sainath, were detained in Bahrain and then deported for the same reason.

"People coming to visit Bahrain need to understand that lying on immigration documents is against the law and they will face the consequences of their actions," said an official from the Directorate of Immigration who required anonymity.
