A criminal case has been opened to investigate the Minsk metro blast, Deputy Prosecutor General of Belarus and head of the investigation team Andrei Shved told reporters on 11 April, BelTA has learnt.
"A terrorist attack has occurred in Minsk metro's Oktyabrskaya station at approximately 17:54. A criminal case has been opened to investigate the blast, a joint investigation team has been set up," Andrei Shved said. In his words, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out.
After studying the blast site and performing urgent investigative actions, all clues will be examined and investigated in full. "The head of state has given concrete, clear and understandable instructions related to the investigation, assistance to the victims and other measures to mitigate the repercussions of the blast," Andrei Shved added.
