The death toll in an explosion at a coal mine in the Kozlu district of Turkish province of Zonguldak rose to eight, TRT Haber TV channel reported on Monday.
The cause of the explosion was the accumulation of methane.
At the moment, work is underway to rescue the remaining miners, who are under the rubble.
