Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 30 / Trend corr N. Kirtzkhalia / In couple of days Georgian Air Force will be beefed up with three women pilots. Recently, the women passed the flight test at the military aerodrome in Marneuli, according to the Georgian Ministry of Defense.
All of them successfully completed the individual flight in the test plane L-39 of Czech production. Other several pilots also partook in the exercise which will soon be able to fly in the military aircrafts of SU-25 independently.
David Sikhariluadze, defense minister, Bacho Akhalaya, deputy defense minister, Colonel Vladimir Chachibaya, head of the United Headquarters of Georgian Air Force, his deputy Brigadier General David Nairashvili and Colonel Zurab Pochkhua, commander of the Georgian Air Forces, took part in the training.
After testing the young people, career pilots of the Air Force displayed their own abilities and 59 pilots and engineers were awarded medals of first, second an third degree for excellent performance.
