The US-Azerbaijan cooperation in security is strong in broad sense and it is getting stronger, the U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza told journalists on Saturday.

According to Bryza, he also discussed the two countries' developing plans to work together to counter the risks that the Azerbaijani energy and infrastructure in the Caspian Sea faces with the Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev.

"I provided some details of a trip which will take place on Monday with the senior Azerbaijani officials to the United States to explore how to deal with such treats to our energy infrastructure," he added.

The Azerbaijani delegation will include representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Border Service, Emergency Situations Ministry, the State Maritime Administration, as well as Naval Forces, public relations department officer at the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan Mehdi Huseynguliyev told journalists.

The delegation will visit four states. The visit is paid within a program of ensuring security of important energy facilities.
