Azeri children from Georgia leave for a summer camp

Youth and teenagers from Kvemo Kartli region of Georgia, densely populated with Azerbaijanis, will go to summer camp Patriot, which will open throughout Georgia this summer. The first group of children comprised of residents of 5 regions, including Azerbaijanis, has already left for Ajaria, a special correspondent of Trend in Georgian reports citing the Georgians President authorized representative for Kvemo Kartli, Zurab Melikishvili.

45 children from Kvemo Kartli are currently raking a rest in Khelvachaur district Рµ, of them one third are Azerbaijanis. This year over 30,000 teenagers are planning to rest in summer camps.

In total 235 children will have a rest in camps during the summer period and almost half are Azerbaijanis.

Addressing to opening ceremony of the camp in Khelvachauri the Georgian President noted that along with Georgian children the youth is also comprised of representatives of other nationalities, including Azerbaijanis.

They speak well both in native language and in Georgian and they all are future of Georgia, who will build in future the state of Georgia no forgetting their national culture and history, Saakashvili underlined.
