The chairman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, Georgi Pirinski, arrived in Azerbaijan on November 22, 2006, Trend reports.
He is scheduled to participate in a fall session of the General Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PA BSEC).
After the completion of the plenary session, Pirinski will commence an official visits to Azerbaijan on November 24.
The Bulgarian Speaker is accompanied by a delegation comprised of representatives from all fractions of the Bulgarian Parliament and the government. The program of the visit includes meetings with the Azerbaijani Speaker Ogtay Asadov, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and President Ilham Aliyev. On November 24, the chairman of the National Assembly will visit the Baku Slavic University to get familiar with the activities of the Culture Centre of Bulgaria, meet with the students and teachers of the University.
