List of political prisoners in Azerbaijan is complete, reportedly said Elmira Akhundova, member of Pardon Commission.
This question was raised in Azerbaijan in 2002 and now some NGOs submit their own lists including names of prisoners that committed various heinous crimes. Therefore, such lists will not be discussed at closest session of Commission.
At the session of Workgroup for political prisoners, which consists of independent human rights watchers and governmental officials, a list of 50 names considered political prisoners was submitted to the Pardon Commission.
