BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. The turnover
recorded through new-generation point of sale (POS) in Azerbaijan
surpassed 6.11 billion manat ($3.59 billion) from January through
February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Tax Service under the Ministry of
Economy indicates that this marks an increase of over 596.2 million
manat ($350.7 million), or more than 10.8 percent, compared to the
same period in 2024.
The report also highlights that 105,694 of these new generation
POS units have been installed across the country.
The introduction of these cash registers has enabled more
transparent transactions, helped prevent the illegal circulation of
goods, and ensured better oversight of economic activity.
