TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 7. Minsk Tractor Works (OJSC MTZ) will supply over 3,000 units of tractor equipment to Uzbekistan by the end of 2025, as part of an expanded bilateral cooperation project in agricultural machinery, Trend reports via the press service of MTZ.
The announcement was made by Mikhail Vardugin, Deputy Marketing Director for Commercial Work in the CIS Markets at MTZ, who noted that deliveries of both finished tractors and assembly kits are already underway. The agreement is part of a major initiative launched earlier this year that includes the establishment of a joint tractor assembly plant in the city of Nuravshon.
The facility is designed to produce BELARUS tractors ranging from 80 to 212 horsepower and aims to meet Uzbekistan’s growing demand for agricultural modernization. According to the company, the new plant adds to MTZ’s expanding network of CIS-based assembly operations, which now includes seven sites — with three in Kazakhstan and one each in Russia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.
MTZ is also pursuing two new investment projects in Russia aimed at launching additional assembly plants through its trading houses "MTZ-Tatarstan" and "MTZ-Northwest."
Uzbekistan remains a key market for MTZ, as the country accelerates efforts to boost agricultural productivity and upgrade its farming infrastructure. The new deliveries are expected to contribute to the technical re-equipment of farms and further deepen industrial cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan.
