Population's deposits in Azerbaijani regions (the country's regions, except Baku) amounted to 290.8 million manat or 8.4 percent of the total volume of deposits attracted by Azerbaijani banks in the first half-year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said on Tuesday.
As of July 1, the total volume of deposits on the country amounted to 3.451.4 billion manat, where the deposits in national currency hit 1.674.2 billion manat. This figure hit 3.160.6 billion manat in Baku, where 1.456.5 billion manat account for deposits in national currency. The average interest rate on the country was 9.2 percent during the reporting period, in Baku - 9.4 percent.
The volume of deposits on Absheron economic region totaled 83.5 million manat at an average rate of 9.3 percent, Aran - 53.3 million manat at 4.5 percent, Upper Shirvan - 5.3 million manat at 5.8 percent, Ganja -Gazakh - 50.3 million manat at 7.9 percent, Guba-Khachmaz - 20.8 million manat at 8.1 percent, Lankaran - 23.8 million manat at 6.1 percent, Sheki-Zagatala - 24.1 million manat at 6.5 percent, Upper Karabakh - 9.2 million manat at 2.7 percent, Kalbajar-Lachin - 1.2 million manat at 4.6 percent, Nakhchivan - 19.3 million manat at 3.3 percent.
