Which sectors of Georgian economy recorded growth in recent months?

In November 2019, the economy of Georgia grew by 6.4 percent, compared to the same period last year, said Executive Director of the National Statistics Service of Georgia (Gruzstat) Gogita Totradze, Trend reports citing Gruzstat.

“In November, the indicator of economic growth amounted to 6.4 percent. The real average growth rate for 11 months of this year is 5.3 percent,” Totradze said.

The official said that in November 2019, compared with the corresponding period of last year, growth was observed in the following areas: manufacturing, transportation and warehousing, construction, wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repairs.

The decrease was recorded in activities related to real estate, as well as in the fields of art, entertainment and recreation.
