Roughly 16 million tons of oil and condensate was extracted in Azerbaijan in January-April. This index 0.9 percent more than index of oil and condensate production in January-April 2008, the Azerbaijani state statistics committee said.
Major volume of oil production fell on the Azerbaijani international operation company in January-April. The company extracted 13.1 million tons of oil and gas condensate in the block of offshore fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" and gas condensate field "Shakh Deniz" compared to 12.9 million tons per the similar period of 2008.
Gas production hit 8 billion cubic meters in Azerbaijan in January-April that an increase of 0.9 percent than in 2008. Roughly 4 billion cubic meters of gas fell on "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" (casing-head gas) and "Shakh Deniz" compared to 3 billion cubic meters in 2008.
Roughly 7.1 billion kilowatt-hour of energy in Azerbaijan in January-April 2009 that 7.3 percent lower than in the same period of 2008.
