The Russian company Itera Llc. will participate in the development of three more offshore blocks on the Caspian shelf after the Caspian Sea's legal status has been addressed, Itera Deputy Chief Gennady Skidanov said at the First International Gas Congress in Ashgabat.
"The issue concerns units no. 29, 30 and 31. The combined unit's recoverable resources are estimated at over 300 million tons and its associated gas at over 100 billion cubic meters," he added.
Skidanov said Consortium Zarit, which consists of Itera and the Russian state companies Rosneft and Zarubezhneft, must assume the implementation of the ambitious plans.
Work on the development of these units will be based on a PSA. The agreement will be signed by the Turkmen Presidential Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources.
