The delegation of Turkmenistan held talks in Tokyo with representatives of Japanese companies specializing in the oil and gas sector, Trend reports referring to the Watan newspaper.
In particular, the management of Japan’s Kawasaki company discussed the preparation for the operation of a plant for the production of synthetic gasoline from natural gas, built in Owadandepe in Turkmenistan’s Ahal Region, and proposals for the construction of the 2nd phase of this enterprise.
Negotiations with Sojitz concerned the project of a workshop for the production of phosphate fertilizers at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant. Proposals for the development of a project for the construction of another ammonia and carbamide production plant in Turkmenistan were discussed with Mitsubishi. Relevant documents were signed following the talks.
Meetings were also held with representatives of Itochu, Highchem, Sumitomo, Mitsubishi on the sale and export of oil, gas and chemical products.
The Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary (TDH) state news agency noted that a number of major infrastructure projects have already been implemented with the participation of Japanese companies. Among them is a complex of ammonia and carbamide production plants in Mary Region, the Garabogazkarbamid plant and a polymer complex in Balkan Region.
