ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 8. Turkmenistan is increasing the growth rate of liquefied natural gas production from January through March this year, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, during the specified period, the growth rate of liquefied gas production in Turkmenistan amounted to 9.4 percent compared to the first quarter of last year.
Amanov also noted that during the specified period, Turkmenistan's refineries exceeded the oil refining plan by 2.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively investing in the development of its liquefied gas industry, as part of which the country is modernizing its production facilities and introducing advanced technologies.
In order to diversify its economy, Turkmenistan also pays attention to the development of oil refining, which includes expanding the extraction of oil resources and increasing opportunities for their processing.
The country is striving to increase its export potential of petroleum products and liquefied gas, which helps strengthen its position in the global energy market.
