BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Azerbaijan increased gas exports by 7.9 percent from January through June 2024 against the figure of the same period of 2023, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee (SCC).
In the first half of 2024, gas exports amounted to 11.826 billion cubic meters, up from 10.96 billion cubic meters from January through June 2023.
The share of gas in Azerbaijan's total exports for the first half of 2024 was 31.54 percent, compared to 44.69 percent in the same period of 2023.
Revenue from gas exports decreased to $4.07 billion from $8.03 billion. This decline was due to a fall in global gas prices.
In 2023, Azerbaijan exported 23.8 billion cubic meters of gas. The plan for 2024 is approximately 25 billion cubic meters.
