PremiumTop 10 insurance companies in Azerbaijan in terms of payments

In January-August 2019, payments of 10 leading insurance companies of Azerbaijan amounted to 157.183 million manats (89.6 percent of the total insurance payments).

The ranking is headed by Pasha Life. Some 32.4 percent of the reimbursements paid by all companies during the reporting period accounted to this company. In January-August 2019, this company made payments of 56.897 million manats.

Pasha Insurance with total payments of 33.21 million manats (about 18.9 percent of all payments) ranked second, while Ateshgah with total payments amounting to 13.277 million manats (7.6 percent of all payments) ranked third.

In January-August 2019, Azerbaijani insurance companies collected premiums in the amount of 469.799 million manats (a decrease of almost 10 percent for the year), payments in the same period amounted to 175.474 million manats (a growth of 4.1 percent for the year).

The results of the activity of insurance companies in January-August 2019 have been announced by the Azerbaijan Financial Market Supervisory Authority.
