Over 15,000 Azerbaijani teachers attend IT training

Over 15,000 teachers of Azerbaijan's secondary schools have been training for applying the ICT to education, the "Madad" public association reported.

Trainings were held within the State Program on Informatization of the Education System in 2008-2012 on the basis of curriculums "Teachers Professional Development Program" and the Program Intel "Teach to the Future". According to the "Madad", the training will involve over 17,000 teachers by late 2009. At present, over 30,000 teachers have attended training under the State Program.

As part of the State Program, it is planned to hold training for 4,000 employees of education field by late 2009.

Trainings are held in 75 training centers of the country, which are located in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Mingachevir, Shirvan, Lankaran, Balakan, Zagatala, Hajigabul, Sabirabad, Salyan, Kurdamir, Gabala, Ismailli, Yevlakh, Tartar, Barda, Beylagan, Agjabadi, Goygol , Agstafa, Gazakh, Gakh, Sheki, Lankaran, Khachmaz, Siyazan, Guba, Gusar, Neftchala, Jalilabad, Bilasuvar, Ujar, Saatli and Agdash
