Azerbaijan IT-company AZEL holds talks on integration of Symantec information security system to a corporate network of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), AZEL Board Chairman Rasim Ibrahimov said.
Ibrahimov said that the project will be analogue on installing the solution Symantec Security Information Manager (SSIM) in Azercell Telekom's network.
The SSIM system allows the operator to monitor all the processes occurring in its network, enabling rapid opportunities to curb the negative aspects. The system allows documenting all the events and storing them for a few years. The solution is mainly provided for large companies, and enterprises of public and private sectors, which use a large number of servers and complex telecommunications systems.
The work to integrate information security system into the operator's network provide for the implementation of measures to apply complex business solutions. The project has been expanded with apply of additional products for more protection of the certain sections of the operator's technical infrastructure due to the emerged need.
The Symantec Sales Director in Kazakhstan, Central Asia and South Caucasus, Alexander Yakunin, told Trend earlier that the system is able to identify security threats directed the most important business applications and determine their priorities, analyze and resolve them.
Symantec's business in Azerbaijan is more focused on the corporate segment. The telecommunication and financial sectors, as well as state programs are of great interest.
