BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. To facilitate reverse loading on the Middle Corridor, which involves transporting goods from the EU to Xi'an, the Chinese company Beijing Trans Eurasia International Logistics Co., Ltd. has shared its schedule for container train departures in November and December, Trend reports citing the Chinese company’s statement.

"Container block trains will depart from Xi'an via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor) on October 9, 16, and 23. In the return direction, from Europe to Xi'an, trains are scheduled for November 9, November 23, and December 7 (before Christmas)," the statement said.

Beijing Trans Eurasia International Logistics Co., Ltd. indicated that it takes approximately 27 to 29 days for cargo to be transported from Xi'an to Duisburg, the endpoint of the TITR.

Earlier this week, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev emphasized the importance of developing container transportation through Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea from Europe to Asia during a meeting with the head of the South Korean logistics company LX Pantos Co., Ltd., Lee Young-ho. He noted that transit operations from Asia to Europe along the TITR are already well established.

To note, the TITR has been developing since 2014, and the international association of the same name was established in 2016.

The corridor's goal is to ensure the efficient delivery of goods from China, Kazakhstan, and Central Asian countries to Europe and back.

In 2023, 2.76 million tons of cargo were transported via the TITR, with a forecast of 4.2 million tons for 2024.
