ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 14. Kazakhstan is interested in exporting meat, vegetables and fruits, grain crops, flour products, vegetable oils, and other agricultural products to Thailand, Trend reports, citing the government of Kazakhstan.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Phumtham Wechayachai, and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, discussed this topic during their meeting.
"Kazakhstan is developing a national commodity distribution system with the appropriate infrastructure for storage and distribution of agricultural products. This will create the necessary conditions for the formation of an agri-food hub in our country. Developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Thailand in this matter is mutually beneficial and promising," Bektenov said.
He noted Kazakhstan's and Thailand's broad opportunities for implementing relevant investment projects.
In turn, Wechayachai expressed confidence in strengthening trade and economic ties between Thailand and Kazakhstan.
"This morning we signed an agreement on economic cooperation. I believe that this document contributes to the expansion of cooperation in various fields, including trade, economics, and investment," he said.
Additionally, there was discussion about the possibility of using Kazakhstan's transit potential in the context of the development of the Trans-Caspian route.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their intentions to deepen economic cooperation between the two countries.
