Kyrgyzstan Materials 6 August 2011 11:28 (UTC +04:00)

Salaries of budget-financed employees will increase in Kyrgyzstan, KyrTAG quotes Kyrgyz Prime Minister Almazbek Atambayev as saying at a government meeting on Friday.

"It is sad and funny to hear from doctors and teachers when one visits any region, as recently Batken region, that some politicians come and scare them that increments will be taken away in autumn. Nobody will take away anything, budget-financed employees' salaries will continue to increase, I can assure you. There are sufficient funds in the budget," Atambayev said.

He said the government's main achievement in the first half-year is increasing budget-financed employees' salaries.

Atambayev said the second phase of increasing pension amount is currently under preparation.

"At present, the government jointly with the social fund develops a draft to increase pension amount. The draft will be submitted to parliament for consideration in September," he added.
