Kyrgyzstan discloses livestock export and import data

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 8. Kyrgyzstan exported 153,412 heads of livestock from January through July 2024, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, the exports included 77,907 large cattle, 70,392 small ruminants, and 5,113 horses.

During the same period, Kyrgyzstan imported 14,618 heads of livestock: 11,011 large cattle, 488 small ruminants, and 3,119 horses.

According to Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee, the gross output of agricultural products totaled 107.827 billion soms ($1.274 billion) from January through June 2024. The volume of production increased by 3.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

Livestock products accounted for 77.8 percent of the total agricultural production, crop production 18.9 percent, forestry 0.1 percent, fishing 0.5 percent, and services 2.7 percent.
