DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 28. Tajikistan imported 2,366 motor cars from Georgia from January through November 2023, Trend reports.

According to data from Georgia's National Statistics Office (Geostat), the amount of these imports increased by 8 percent year on year (2,187 cars in the 11-month period of 2022). The value of imports reached $27.487 million, more than double what it was in the same period in 2022, when it was $13.188 million.

From January to November 2023, motor vehicles accounted for about 80 percent of Tajikistan's imports from Georgia.

Tajikistan imported 99 motor vehicles from Georgia in November of this year, which is 75 percent fewer than in November 2022 (398 vehicles). The value of imports was $2.043 million, a 30 percent decrease from the similar month in 2022 ($2.920 million).

Overall, Tajikistan's imports from Georgia totaled $34.430 million from January through November 2023, which is a 90-percent surge compared to the same period in 2022 ($18.057 million).

The country's exports to Georgia reached $268,630 from January through November 2023, which is a decrease of 6.2 percent compared to the corresponding period in 2022 ($286,610).

During the reporting period, trade turnover between the countries amounted to $34.698 million, which is a rise of 89.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($18.343 million).
