BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. The total amount of trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Germany in January 2024 amounted to more than 8.74 million euros, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
According to the data obtained, during the specified period, the volume of trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Germany decreased by 40 percent compared to the same month in 2023, when it amounted to almost 14.6 million euros.
German imports from Turkmenistan in January 2024 reached almost 106,400 euros, which is 2.7 times less than in the corresponding period of 2023, when they amounted to almost 287,300 euros.
At the same time, Turkmenistan's imports from Germany for the specified month totaled about 8.63 million euros, which is almost 40 percent less than in January 2023, when it amounted to 14.3 million euros.
Meanwhile, last year the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Germany amounted to 203.11 million euros, which is 15.8 percent less than in 2022, when it amounted to 241.32 million euros.
