Some 3 trillion rials (around $245 million) obtained as a result of selling bonds will be allocated to finance the Tehran-Shomal(north provinces) freeway project, official with Roads and Urban Development Ministry Ahmad Sadeqi said.
Ahmad Sadeqi told the Fars News Agency that a list of rail and freeway projects with the highest priority has been prepared to be financed through selling bonds.
Some 10,550 kilometers of railway, 5,000 kilometers of highway and 3,000 kilometers of freeway should be built across the country, he said, adding that the projects are facing shortage of budget.
