BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. The export of non-oil products from Isfahan Province, located in the center of Iran, increased by 32 percent in value and 34 percent in weight terms in the 3 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through June 21, 2023), the Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports.
According to him, about 398,000 tons of non-oil products worth more than $258 million were exported from Isfahan Province during the 3 months.
Kuhestani noted that 329 types of products were exported from Isfahan Province. The main exports were petrochemical products worth $68 million, steel and cast iron worth $59 million, milk and dairy products worth $26 million, copper and copper products worth $23 million, carpets worth $19 million, and other goods worth more than $63 million.
The official stated that the reason for the decrease in exports from the province is the decrease in exports of ferrous metallurgy products. Thus, for three months of last year, steel and metallurgy products worth $196 million were exported from the province.
To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, Iran exported 38 million tons of non-oil products worth $13.5 billion during the first three months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 7.6 percent in value and 5.6 percent in weight compared to the same month of last year.
