BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Product exports through the customs of Iran's Isfahan Province decreased by 7 percent in value and 9 percent in weight in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025) compared to the same month last year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024), Rasoul Kouhestani-Pajouh, the director-general of the province's Customs Department, told reporters, Trend reports.
He stated that in the first month, goods worth $60.3 million and weighing 88,200 tons were exported through the customs of Isfahan Province.
Kouhestani detailed the breakdown of exports during this period: around $45 million through Isfahan customs, $9 million through Kashan customs, $4 million through the customs office operating in the Mobarakeh Steel Company, about $1 million through Shahid Beheshti International Airport, and approximately $819,000 through the customs office at Isfahan Steel Company.
The official added that the majority of exports from the province’s customs included petroleum products valued at approximately $23 million, dairy products at around $10 million, steel and iron goods at $6 million, carpets at $4 million, and copper products also at $4 million.
“Products were exported from Isfahan province to 38 countries. The main destinations included Pakistan, with over $22 million in exports, followed by Iraq and Afghanistan with about $9 million each, the UAE with $6 million, and Türkiye with $4 million,” Kouhestani noted.
During the reporting period, Iran totally exported $1.23 billion worth of 1.8 million tons of non-oil products through the above customs. The value and weight of Iran’s non-oil exports through customs of Isfahan Province, located in the country’s center, decreased by 14 percent and 20 percent during the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024)
