Iran’s non-oil exports hit $23B in 8 months

Iran's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) surpassed $23.5 billion during the first eight months of 2015, indicating an increase by four percent compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Iran exported some 52.74 million tons of non-oil goods during that period which is 4.9 percent less compared with the first eight months of 2014, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its latest monthly report published Oct. 4.

Tehran exported 6.74 million tons of non-oil goods, worth $2.87 billion in August 2015.

Petroleum gases and liquefied gas hydrocarbons worth $1.281 billion, liquefied propane worth $1.259 billion, and tar worth $980 million topped the list of Iran 's exported non-oil goods.

Liquefied propane exports registered an 8.7-percent fall compared to the first eight months of 2014 in terms of value, meanwhile exports of petroleum gases and liquefied gas hydrocarbons and tar witnessed increase by 382 percent and 12.7 percent respectively.

Iran's overall exports excluding the three mentioned goods witnessed a fall by 9.5 percent in terms of volume, meanwhile no significant change was registered in terms of value compared to the 8-month period of 2014.

The average price for each one ton of Iran's non-oil goods in the mentioned period was around $445, which is 9.4 percent more than in the previous year.

Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over stood at $54.96 billion during the first eight months of 2015. Imports shared 57.2 percent of the mentioned figure.

Iran's trade balance with 83 countries was positive, while with 79 countries it was negative.
