Ambassador: Turkish-Egyptian cooperation not directed against third countries

Strengthening of cooperation between Turkey and Egypt is not directed against any party, it is a successful model of cooperation between the two countries, Egyptian ambassador to Turkey, the "Zaman" newspaper quotes Abdurrahman Salahaddin as saying.

"Strengthening of cooperation between Turkey and Egypt serves the interests of both countries. There is no need to seek anything else in these relations," he said.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Egypt, Tunisia and Libya on Sept.12-15, the Anadolu agency reported earlier. Erdogan will be accompanied by several ministers.

He will hold talks with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of Egypt and Prime Minister Isam Sharif in Egypt on Sept.12-13. He is also scheduled to meet with Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Nabil al-Arabi.
