Cargo transshipment from US through Turkish ports exceeded 2 million tons in January 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Feb. 18.
In January 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment from US by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 47,536 tons, and ships flying the flag of other countries – over 2 million tons.
In this month, cargo transshipment via Turkish ports by ships flying under the US’s flag was not implemented.
In the meantime, the volume of cargo transshipment by transit from US through Turkish ports amounted to 17,668 tons.
Last month, the volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish ports exceeded 32.9 million tons.
In January 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag exceeded 2.4 million tons.
During this month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 1.5 million tons, and by ships flying the flag of other countries – 29 million tons.
In January 2020, over 6.1 million tons of cargo was transported by transit through the Turkish ports.
