Some 29,000 spectators are expected across all European games venues for tomorrow, Simon Clegg, the Baku 2015 chief operating officer said at the press conference in Baku on June 25.
"Tomorrow is the national holiday here in Azerbaijan and therefore we expect attendance to be high across all venues, with up to 29,000 spectators," Clegg said.
He said that yesterday a total of 18,597 spectators attended 13 sessions at 7 venues. Overall attendance was 81 percent of capacity.
Up to 30,000 spectators at all venues are expected today, according to Clegg.
He also said that some 173 European Games champions have been crowned up until today.
"Yesterday we had 4.6 million website page views," Clegg said adding that the website is improving incredibly popular.
Clegg also stressed that yesterday he had opportunity to attend beach soccer competitions, which were absolutely fantastic.
There are a number of representatives of the beach soccer here, he said.
With the reference to the chair of the FIFA beach soccer committee Clegg said that never before in the history beach soccer have had an arena like the one they have here in Baku. And complimentary are not only in terms of the arena, but also all the arrangements made for the beach soccer athletes.
"I think inclusion of beach soccer in the Games program was real positive for the European Games," Clegg said.
The European Games that kicked off June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
