Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Jan. 21 /corr. Trend E.Hasanov / Yaylim Berdiyev who was appointed the Minister of Defence by Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov's decree was also appointed to the post of secretary of the State Security Council.
Up to now, Berdiyev headed customs officers and had work experience in the migratory service. According to the Constitution, the State Council is headed by the President of the country, who combines also the posts of prime minister and supreme commander-in-chief. Forming the State Council is also a prerogative of President.
Moreover, heads of some services were appointed. Batirov Serdar was appointed the head of Turkmen State Anti-Drug Service, earlier he was the first deputy in this department. Balliyev Seyitniyaz was charged with responsibilities to head the Migration Service. Esenov Orazgeldi headed the State Customs Service. The last three heads were appointed as "temporarily acting officials".
