Azerbaijani Sambo-Wrestling Team will participate in the international tournament scheduled for 14 September in Prague.
Azerbaijan will be represented in the championship by four athletes Islam Gasimov (52 kg), prize-winner of world and European championships Asif Safarbeyov (90 kg) and Vasif Safarbeyov (100 kg), as well as Kanan Askerov (+100 kg), head trainer of the team Mubariz Ibrahimov told Trend.
According to the trainer, several national key sambo-wrestlers who recently completed their holiday and newly started to collect form will not participate in the competition. Therefore, taking into consideration the November world championship in Sofia, the visit to Prague will be a testing for reserves.
