BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. The average monthly nominal wages of employees from January through May 2023 increased by 11.1 percent and amounted to 916.8 manat ($539.2) compared to the same period last year in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,655 manat ($2,150), while in the non-oil and gas sector - 864.2 manat ($508.3). The wages of employees of state-owned enterprises amounted to 871.2 manat ($512.4), and private enterprises - 967.4 manat ($569).
The highest wage is recorded among workers in the mining sector, insurance and finance, information, communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
