BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. The volume of agricultural production from January through June 2024 amounted to 6 billion manat ($3.5 billion) in actual prices, 0.3 percent higher than in the same period of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, production in the field of animal husbandry in value terms increased by 2.1 percent (up to 3.1 billion manat ($1.8 billion)) and in the field of crop production by 1.4 percent (up to 2.8 billion manat ($1.6 billion)) during the period.
As of June 1 this year, spring crops have been planted on 374,970 ha, including grain and leguminous crops on 34,110 ha, potatoes on 46,750 ha, and vegetables on 62,460 ha.

Azerbaijan produced 290,300 tons of meat, 1.1 million tons of milk, and 1.1 billion chicken eggs from January through June 2024. Production of meat increased by 1.7 percent, milk by one percent, and chicken eggs by seven percent compared to the same period in 2023.

To note, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in 2023 in actual prices amounted to 12.2 billion manat ($7.1 billion), which is 3 percent higher than in 2022. Production in the field of animal husbandry in value terms increased by 3.2 percent (up to 6.2 billion manat ($3.6 billion)), and in the field of crop production, by 2.7 percent (up to 5.9 billion manat ($3.4 billion)).
